Our Incy Wincy room is for our under 2's. 

 

We have a  large play room including a separate sleep room, which forms a part of the main room to allow supervision of those children who are sleeping. We provide all cot bedding and blankets, these are stored in children's individual sleep bags, to avoid cross contamination and are washed on rotation. All of our cots and bedding meet British Standards. We follow safer sleep practices and our policies to meet Early Years Statuary Framework (EYFS 2026) in collaboration with The Lullaby Trust.

During the nursery day there are lots of fun and exciting activities to support your child's learning and development. Our staff are highly skilled and trained to support baby development and are always on hand to offer help, advice or support.

Our staff working with babies complete training focused on Caring for Babies, to keep up to date with the latest legislation and to ensure knowledgeable and upskill our staff team.

Our younger children enjoy the outdoor learning environment each day. We also provide opportunities to explore the wider community, places we have previously visited include; baby sensory, Herbert Art Gallery creative workshops, soft play area's including the local park and Community Library.

During settling in sessions, we gather lots of information such as personal care routines or any specific care routines, dietary or weaning information, as well as information regarding nap times. We complete information together with parents.

We have low level wooden table, chairs and highchairs. Staff will sit with children during meal times to supervise and help with feeding. We encourage children to feed themselves and provide help encouraging healthy eating habits, manners, using utensils and enjoying a social and interactive meal time where staff engage with the children.

There is always an opportunity to speak to your child's key person or a member of the staff team, following our open door policy.
